Penté

Penté is a two-player strategy board game, similar to tic-tac-toe or checkers, where the goal is to be the first to get five of your stones in a row or to capture five pairs of your opponent's stones.

Players take turns placing a stone on the board, and captures are made by "sandwiching" two of the opponent's stones between two of your own.

The game is played on a grid of intersecting lines, like a Go board, and is easy to learn but offers a lot of strategic depth.
